Have you seen a disk bulge of spinal cord from MRI?

MRI of 21 y/o male patient

Here is a MRI scan report of a 21 years old male patient who was admitted to Teaching Hospital Karapitiya,Sri Lanka. One of his intervertebral disk has bulged and it can be seen via MRI as below.

Disk bulge at L5-S1 level

This disk bulge has occured between L5 and S1 vertebrae.S1 vertebra can be easily distinguished from the L5 because it looks smaller than L5.

This disk bulge has compressed his Thecal Sac and S1 nerve root.

Thecal Sac is the membranous covering of spinal cord and cauda equina. It provides nutrients to cord

Even thecal sac is compressed, his cauda equina not affected.S1 nerve root compression has interpreted many symptoms.
